About The Position

Capgemini is hiring a Senior Observability Architect to lead enterprise observability transformation, platform modernization, and operational excellence across hybrid cloud environments. The role focuses on migrating from New Relic to Grafana Cloud, establishing enterprise observability standards, improving operational readiness, and enhancing service reliability through modern telemetry, automation, and proactive operations practices. The architect will develop observability strategy and architecture, implement Grafana Cloud technologies, standardize monitoring and telemetry, and support AWS, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructure. The role also partners with engineering, platform, infrastructure, and support teams to embed observability practices across the software delivery lifecycle, ensure production readiness, and improve incident response and service reliability. This is a hybrid role in NJ/NY or PA.

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Grafana Cloud and Grafana observability technologies, including Mimir, Loki, Tempo, Alloy, and IRM.
  • Strong expertise implementing and managing OpenTelemetry-based monitoring and telemetry frameworks.
  • Experience leading enterprise monitoring platform modernization and migration initiatives, including New Relic migrations.
  • Deep understanding of observability pillars, including metrics, logs, traces, and distributed tracing.
  • Experience designing and implementing SLIs, SLOs, Error Budgets, and operational health measurements.
  • Strong experience supporting AWS cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-premises infrastructure environments.
  • Experience designing enterprise monitoring, logging, alerting, and dashboarding solutions.
  • Strong production support, incident management, escalation management, and root cause analysis experience.
  • Knowledge of anomaly detection, predictive monitoring, and proactive operations practices.
