OBGYN/Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (NP)/PA
About The Position
This is an outpatient clinic position for an OBGYN/Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), with a preference for NPs. The role involves providing care for gynecology (GYN) cases, with some obstetrics (OB) involvement as needed, including well-woman visits. The position offers a mix of in-person and telehealth consultations. The primary focus is on GYN services such as contraception management (Nexplanon and IUD placements), routine gynecological evaluations, and managing abnormal presentations like bleeding, ovarian cysts, and vaginal discharges. Proficiency in conducting ultrasounds for fetal heart tones is required. Experience with early dating ultrasounds is preferred but not mandatory. The role also requires expertise in preventive gynecological care, endometrial biopsy (EMB), managing abnormal bleeding, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), Bartholin abscess drainage, Pap smears, LEEP procedures, and family planning.
Requirements
- Board Certification required.
- Active California nursing license.
- Proficiency in conducting ultrasounds for fetal heart tones.
- Experience with Nexplanon and IUD placements.
- Experience with endometrial biopsy (EMB).
- Experience with LEEP procedures.
- Experience with Bartholin abscess drainage.
- Experience with Pap smears.
- Experience with managing abnormal bleeding.
- Experience with hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
- Experience with contraception management.
- Experience with family planning.
Nice To Haves
- NP preferred.
- Experience in early dating ultrasounds (down to 8 weeks gestation).
Responsibilities
