OBGYN Physician
About The Position
We are seeking an OBGYN Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Federal Way, WA. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient services, with a coverage type that includes clinical duties and call. The physician will manage L+D patients, assist Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) and Family Practice Obstetricians (FPOBs), and provide Gynecology coverage in the ER. The position requires managing high-risk and low-risk obstetrics, performing office procedures, and providing outpatient GYN care. On-call duties include reading ultrasounds and potentially performing circumcisions. The facility utilizes the Epic EMR system and has a supportive staff including L+D RNs, CNMs, FPOBs, MAs, RNs, LPN/LVNs, lab techs, and X-ray techs. This is a supplemental coverage role for an ongoing period, starting ASAP.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Active WA license or Universal License (IMLC) with LOQ in hand
- Active DEA certification (required during credentialing)
- BLS certification
- Clean malpractice/background history
- Hospital Privileges Required
- Comfortable at CAH

Responsibilities
- Provide 60-70% OB and 30-40% Gyn care, managing high-risk and low-risk obstetrics
- Manage labor and delivery patients
- Assist CNMs/FPOBs
- Provide GYN coverage in ER
- Perform office procedures including LEEPs, colposcopy, IUD insertions, Nexplanon placements
- Provide outpatient Gyn care: annual exams, abnormal uterine bleeding, birth control, surgery consults
- Read ultrasound on call days
- Perform circumcisions in office if desired
