About The Position

We are seeking an OBGYN Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Clinton, NC. This inpatient role involves call-only coverage for a specific period, providing comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care. The physician will be responsible for managing low and high-risk pregnancies, performing deliveries (vaginal and C-sections), and handling emergent gynecological procedures. This is a supplemental coverage role with travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered.

Requirements

Board Certified (BC) required
Active NC License
NC DEA required
NC Medicaid Credential
Actively delivering babies with case logs from past 12-24 months
Fully vaccinated
No recent malpractice cases
PECOS enrolled

OB Ultrasounds - Performance of, interpretation
Routine delivery (Vaginal, Low forceps, Decision-making for c-section)
Complicated delivery (C-section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions, VBAC's)
Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
Office/minor gynecology - IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.
Surgical gynecology (Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only - tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation, Operative/major (includes diagnostic) - ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's, Laser certification)

Responsibilities

Round on patients daily
Perform emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries
Perform emergent GYN procedures (e.g., ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal)
Manage high-risk deliveries and arrange transfers to higher-level NICU if needed
Provide on-call coverage via cell phone with 20-minute response time
Perform OB Ultrasounds - Performance of, interpretation
Routine delivery (Vaginal, Low forceps, Decision-making for c-section)
Complicated delivery (C-section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions, VBAC's)
