About The Position
We are seeking an OBGYN Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Mission Hills, CA. This inpatient role involves providing clinical coverage for unassigned OB patients and GYN emergency department patients. The physician will manage low and high-risk OB cases, perform surgical procedures including C-sections, and oversee labor. Collaboration with laborists and perinatologists is expected. The position offers 12-hour shifts and ongoing coverage starting September 1, 2026.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE)
- Valid CA Medical License
- DEA Required
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- Experience with Low & High risk OB
- Experience with FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE
- Experience with OB Ultrasounds - Performance of, interpretation (Level I/Screening (viability), Level II/Targeted (anatomic), Amniocentesis)
- Experience with Routine & Complicated delivery
- Experience with Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
- Experience with Surgical GYN
Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for unassigned OB patients and unassigned Gyn emergency department patients.
- Perform surgical management including c-sections, spontaneous abortions, and ovarian torsion.
- Assist private physicians with planned and unplanned C-sections.
- Oversee labor of low and high-risk OB patients.
- Collaborate with laborist back-up and perinatology as needed.
