About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for an Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician in Ft Mohave, AZ. The role involves providing on-call coverage for both inpatient and outpatient services from May 15-26, 2026. The physician will be responsible for managing routine and complicated deliveries, performing gynecological procedures, and handling phone consults. The facility is a Level I Trauma Center with 8 beds in the OBGYN department. Support staff includes RNs, MAs, and office staff. The EMR system is HMS Med Host and CPOE. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered by the agency.
Requirements
- Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- Licensed in AZ or IMLC.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications.
- Hospital Privileges Required (Temporary privileges available).
- Experience with low & high risk pregnancy.
- Proficiency in FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE.
- Experience with OB U/S.
- Skilled in routine & complicated deliveries.
- Experience in repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations.
- Experience in office/minor and surgical GYN procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-call coverage for Obstetrics & Gynecology services.
- Perform rounding on patients as required.
- Manage phone consults for patient care inquiries.
- Coordinate care for high-risk or trauma patients requiring transfer to a trauma hospital.
- Utilize HMS Med Host and CPOE for clinical documentation and order entry.
