OBGYN- Full Time- NP/PA
About The Position
This is a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) position within the OBGYN department at WFBMG University Group Practice, WFBMC Main. The role involves working 9 half-days a week, totaling 40 hours per week. The position offers a pay range of $54.90 - $82.35 per hour. The NP/PA will utilize medical decision-making skills to develop patient care plans, collaborate with the medical team, order and interpret diagnostic procedures, and explain procedures to patients. There are opportunities to participate in research and precept students or medical learners. The role requires upholding Advocate Health's missions, values, and cultural commitment.
Requirements
- Graduation from accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's Program
- Current applicable state Board of Nursing Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license
- Board certified in NP specialty
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Ability to maintain composure and work efficiently under pressure
- Ability to perform complex patient diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Exemplary organizational skills
- Willingness to perform other related duties other than those described herein
Responsibilities
- Using medical decision-making skills to determine appropriate patient care plan.
- Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team-based care.
- Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures.
- Explains the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.
- Procedural skills per department or practice guidelines
