About The Position

Milford Regional Physician Group is seeking a full time OB/GYN Hospitalist to join their dedicated group of providers as a Laborist to offer inpatient care to patients at their community hospital. The role focuses on patients in the Maternity Department, with consultation to the Emergency Department and general OB or Surgical consult. The hospital is recognized by Blue Cross Blue Shield as a Blue Distinction Center Plus for its expertise and efficiency in delivering specialty care. They employ a 24/7 Advanced Practice Provider service to assist laborists. The team sees an average of 80 deliveries per month with a 30% c-section rate and 24% NVTS cesarean rate. Back-up assistance is always available by additional OB/GYN providers. The work environment is described as great and friendly with an emphasis on teamwork. A team-based approach is used for managing high-risk patients with support from nurses, social workers, behavioral health support specialists, and population health coordinators. The location is an award-winning hospital in one of the fastest-growing regions of Massachusetts, 45 minutes from Boston, Worcester, and Providence, Rhode Island. Milford Regional has partnerships with UMass Memorial Health, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, and Boston Children’s Hospital.

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Must hold a MD or DO degree
• Qualify for a Massachusetts license

Responsibilities

• Offer inpatient care to patients in the Maternity Department.
• Provide consultation to the Emergency Department.
• Provide general OB or Surgical consults.
