Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education (GED)
• Two (2) years of experience in a physician’s office setting or in a hospital work environment.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in database management and word processing.
• Knowledge of physician coding and billing.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the program manager, hospitalists and service primarily at GMC-D with all aspects of the hospitalist program.
• Providing clerical support to the service in matters related to professional fee billing, patient and staff issues.
• Conducting patient satisfaction surveys.
• Serving as a liaison between the physicians on the service, patients and staff.
