The Labor and Delivery (L&D) Unit is a vital component of the hospital’s Women’s Health services, dedicated to the safe management of childbirth and immediate maternal-newborn care. This unit provides comprehensive, patient- and family-centered care throughout labor, birth, and the immediate postpartum period, focusing on clinical excellence, safety, emotional support, and individualized care. The Labor and Delivery Unit coordinates multidisciplinary services to monitor maternal and fetal well-being, manage labor progression, respond to obstetric emergencies, and ensure seamless transitions to postpartum and neonatal care. Facilitates the delivery of perioperative nursing care by achieving desired surgical outcomes. The OB Technician is a professional caregiver working under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse and responsible for providing assigned care according to scope of practice. Has adequate knowledge to approach patients of all age groups. All employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives.
