About The Position
We are seeking a qualified OB Hospitalist to provide inpatient labor and delivery (L&D) and OB/GYN coverage. This role involves managing routine and high-risk pregnancies, performing vaginal deliveries and C-sections, and providing emergency room coverage for unassigned GYN patients. The physician will also provide in-house call coverage for the midwife during the night shift and collaborate with on-site anesthesia, nursing staff, and Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs).
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN.
- Active OH license or willingness to obtain.
- ACLS, BLS, PALS (highly preferred; must be willing to obtain during credentialing).
- Self-Query NPDB report required at time of presentation (within 30 days).
Nice To Haves
- PALS certification is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient OB/GYN laborist coverage for the L&D unit.
- Manage routine and high-risk pregnancies, including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and VBACs.
- Provide GYN emergency room coverage for unassigned patients.
- Provide call coverage for the midwife during the night shift (7p–7a).
- Collaborate with on-site anesthesia, nursing staff, and CNM.
