About The Position
Genesis OB/GYN Northwest, an affiliate of Unified Women’s Healthcare, is seeking an OB/GYN Hospitalist to join their practice in Tucson, AZ. The practice has been serving women with innovative techniques and advanced equipment since 2008 and is part of a growing team environment. This is a quality of life opportunity with Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) assisting with call coverage. Genesis OBGYN is a physician-owned and led organization dedicated to providing excellent and quality care to women in Arizona. They have over 24 office locations across Tucson, Phoenix area, Prescott, and Flagstaff, along with an MFM group, imaging centers, and a women's health lab, offering comprehensive women's health services. The position offers practice coverage only, with no unassigned or GYN call, and shifts do not require in-house presence. The group averages around 4 deliveries in a 24-hour period and provides coverage at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ, which has a Level II Nursery. Hospitalists are not required to relocate to Tucson but must be within the required proximity to the hospital when working. An on-call room is available at the hospital if needed. This position is Full Time and benefits eligible.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Arizona medical license, or ability to obtain one.
- Board-certified or eligible in OB/GYN.
- Current and unrestricted DEA certificate required (or the ability to obtain one).
- Expert diagnostic skills.
- Trustworthy and compassionate character.
- Strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide OB/GYN hospitalist coverage.
- Attend to approximately 4 deliveries in a 24-hour period.
- Work shifts that do not require in-house presence.
- Provide coverage at Northwest Medical Center.
