About The Position
Peterson Health is seeking a full-time OB/GYN physician to join their Women's Services Unit. This independent, not-for-profit rural community hospital is located in Kerrville, TX, and is recognized for its compassionate patient-centered care and team-oriented culture. The Women's Services Unit offers Level II Maternal Care and a Level I Neonatal well baby unit, supported by two full-time OB/GYN physicians, five Midwives, and two lactation consultants. The unit has four labor rooms and ten triage/post labor rooms, and is equipped with da Vinci DV5 robotics. The position involves taking call 10 days per month with a midwife first call model. The hospital is situated in the scenic Texas Hill Country, offering a desirable lifestyle with abundant outdoor recreation and a vibrant cultural scene.
Requirements
- Board Certified MD or DO
- Current Texas license
- Obstetrics/Gynecology residency completion from an accredited ACGME program
- Robotics training included in residency
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive OB/GYN care to patients.
- Participate in call rotation, taking call 10 days per month.
- Collaborate with midwives, lactation consultants, and other healthcare professionals.
- Utilize da Vinci DV5 robotics for relevant procedures.
