About The Position
Greenville OB/GYN, a division of Physicians East, is seeking a board-certified OB/GYN physician to join our team on a temporary limited-term contract (up to 12 months, with possible extension). This is a highly flexible role perfect for physicians looking to supplement their current schedule, transition between positions, or maintain work-life balance while practicing meaningful medicine. You can customize your workload to fit your needs by taking call-only coverage, working office-only hours, or combining both based on your preference.
Requirements
- MD with board certification or eligibility in OB/GYN
- Active, unrestricted North Carolina medical license
- Current DEA registration
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Nice To Haves
- Prior OB/GYN experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality OB care in both outpatient and inpatient settings (as scheduled)
- Manage labor & delivery, including routine and high-risk prenatal care
- Perform GYN inpatient services (as necessary during call coverage)
- Participate in night and weekend call coverage (if selected)
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and care teams
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR system
