About The Position
This is a contract, on-site position offering an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide comprehensive women's healthcare services in a supportive and patient-focused environment. As a Locum Ob/Gyn Physician, you will deliver high-quality obstetric and gynecological care, including prenatal care, deliveries, surgical procedures, and routine well-woman exams. You will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients while maintaining accurate and timely medical records.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Mount Airy
- Associate-level experience in obstetrics and gynecology
- Proficiency in performing obstetric and gynecological procedures
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
- Willingness to work on-site and participate in on-call schedules
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Nice To Haves
- Experience in locum tenens or contract-based medical practice
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients
- Perform prenatal care, deliveries, and postpartum follow-up
- Conduct routine well-woman exams, including Pap smears and breast exams
- Diagnose and treat gynecological conditions and disorders
- Perform surgical procedures related to obstetrics and gynecology
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as ultrasounds and lab work
- Counsel patients on family planning, contraception, and menopause management
- Collaborate with nurses, midwives, and other healthcare staff
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with regulations
- Participate in on-call rotations and emergency coverage as needed
- Stay current with advancements in obstetric and gynecological medicine
- Ensure a compassionate and culturally sensitive approach to patient care
