About The Position

The OB/GYN Nurse works collaboratively with providers and support staff to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the OB/GYN Department. All duties are subject to accommodation in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Requirements

• Experienced and able to function effectively and professionally within an outpatient setting providing community-based care.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• CT Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required or Registered Nurse (RN) license required

Responsibilities

• Processes all patients according to the policies and guidelines established for OB/GYN.
• Ensures continuity of care is maintained in all aspects of patient care.
• Responsible for data collection systems and to report statistical data necessary for grant purposes as needed.
• Supports all quality assurance activities and infection control procedures according to established policies.
• Assists in maintaining stock inventory and ordering supplies, as necessary.
• Attends department, case management and other meetings as assigned.
• Maintains strict confidentiality at all times.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
