About The Position

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking an OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner to join its team serving the Central Maine region. The OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive women’s health services across the lifespan, including preventive care, gynecologic evaluation and treatment, and obstetric care. The NP works collaboratively with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Requirements

Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice.
National board certification as an Adult/Gerontology, Women’s Health, Family, or appropriate OB/GYN-focused Nurse Practitioner.
Current BLS certification.
Prescriptive authority as required by state and organizational policy.

Nice To Haves

Prior OB/GYN or women’s health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive gynecologic and women’s health care, including preventive exams, screenings, and routine follow-up.
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat common gynecologic conditions.
Provide contraceptive counseling and management.
Perform and interpret routine gynecologic procedures and testing within scope of practice.
Provide prenatal and postpartum care as appropriate to the practice setting.
Educate patients regarding reproductive health, wellness, and disease prevention.
Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medications in accordance with clinical privileges and applicable regulations.
Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding complex or high-risk patients.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical initiatives.
Provide compassionate, evidence-based care consistent with organizational standards.
