About The Position

Join our seasoned and growing team of APPs supporting 12 OB/GYNs and 11 CNMs with postpartum rounds, discharges, and surgical care. This day-shift role includes FBC rounds, first-assisting in gynecology cases, including laparoscopic and robotic surgeries, and assisting with C-sections. Requirements

• Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
• Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Perform routine physical examinations.
• Formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients.
• Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists.
• Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider’s practice as designated by protocols.
• Identify problems outside of their scope of practice and refers appropriately to physician.
• Support OB/GYNs and CNMs with postpartum rounds, discharges, and surgical care.
• Conduct FBC rounds.
• First-assist in gynecology cases, including laparoscopic and robotic surgeries.
• Assist with C-sections.
