About The Position

Hartford HealthCare (HHC) is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN to join the Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) team at Hartford HealthCare Medical Group, providing surgical care at Hartford Hospital. This full-time role involves practicing in a collaborative, integrated health system. The physician will provide advanced practice care for patients with chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, and fibroids, participating in gynecology service coverage, surgical procedures, and ambulatory care. Obstetrics is not mandatory. The role includes independent decision-making for patient care across the lifespan and healthcare continuum. The physician will support the MIGS team in performing surgeries at Hartford Hospital and providing outpatient clinical care in various office locations. The team is multi-disciplinary, including OB/GYN generalists, subspecialists, midwives, NPs, PAs, and Genetic Counselors. Hartford Hospital features newly renovated operating rooms with DaVinci Robotic Surgical Systems, a state-of-the-art simulation center, and an outpatient practice where various providers collaborate. The position offers extensive backup, care for a diverse patient population, and opportunities for involvement in research, education, quality improvement, and committees.

Requirements

MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school
Possess or be eligible to obtain a Connecticut Medical License
Board certified or active candidate for board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Completed a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) or a similar program, or have extensive experience in MIGS

Nice To Haves

Fluency in Spanish, or languages other than English, is highly desirable but not required

Responsibilities

Provides holistic, quality and cost-effective advanced practice care for patients, families, and others in a target population.
Participates in the medical and surgical treatment for chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis and fibroids, to achieve or maintain optimal health status, manage disease and reduce risk of illness.
Participates in gynecology service coverage, surgical procedures, and ambulatory care.
Engages in independent decision-making regarding the health care of individuals, families, and groups across the lifespan and the health care continuum.
Support the MIGS team in performing surgeries at Hartford Hospital.
Provide outpatient clinical care in office locations.
Encourage involvement in research, education, quality improvement, safety initiatives, and/or hospital and university committees.
