About The Position

Hartford HealthCare (HHC) is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified OB/GYN to join the Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) team at Hartford Hospital. This full-time, Monday through Friday role involves practicing in a collaborative environment utilizing Epic EMR. The position focuses on providing advanced practice care, including medical and surgical treatment for chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, and fibroids. Responsibilities include gynecology service coverage, surgical procedures, and ambulatory care. Obstetrics is not mandatory. The physician will perform surgeries at Hartford Hospital and provide outpatient clinical care in West Hartford, Glastonbury, Southington, and potentially South Windsor offices. The multi-disciplinary team includes various OB/GYN specialists, Certified Nurse Midwives, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Genetic Counselors. Hartford Hospital features newly renovated operating rooms with DaVinci Robotic Surgical Systems, a state-of-the-art simulation center, and extensive backup support. The location offers access to Boston and New York City, excellent schools, and diverse living options.

Requirements

  • MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Must have or be eligible to obtain a Connecticut Medical License.
  • Board certified or active candidate for board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Completed a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) or a similar program, or have extensive experience in MIGS.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in Spanish, or languages other than English, is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide surgical care at Hartford Hospital.

  • Participate in gynecology service coverage.
