About The Position

Rome Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible OB/GYN Laborist to join their growing women's health team. This role is designed to expand a dedicated laborist model focused on high-quality obstetric care, physician support, and predictable scheduling. It's an opportunity for an OB/GYN to concentrate on inpatient obstetrics and acute women's health care without the traditional demands of a full-time office-based practice. The Laborist will provide continuous, hospital-based obstetric coverage and support patients and colleagues needing immediate access to an experienced OB/GYN. The model emphasizes a dedicated inpatient obstetric practice, predictable shifts, and a focus on labor management, deliveries, C-sections, and obstetric emergencies. It involves collaboration with midwives, APPs, nurses, anesthesiology, and community OB/GYN physicians, with reduced reliance on office-based responsibilities. The environment is physician-supported with experienced colleagues, promoting work-life balance and long-term physician sustainability. Requirements

MD or DO
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Eligible for New York State medical licensure
Strong clinical skills in obstetrics and operative delivery
Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
Strong collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities

Providing continuous, hospital-based obstetric coverage
Supporting patients and colleagues needing immediate access to an experienced OB/GYN
Focusing on labor management, deliveries, C-sections, and obstetric emergencies
