About The Position
This is a part-time OB/GYN hospitalist role in a respected, high-volume women’s hospital located in Phoenix, Arizona. The position is 100% inpatient, meaning there are no clinic duties, follow-ups, or after-hours call. Physicians will have flexible 12-hour or 24-hour shift options and will work as an independent contractor (1099). The role is supported by 24/7 MFM, anesthesia, and experienced L&D teams, with a minimal administrative burden to allow focus on direct patient care.
Requirements
- MD or DO from accredited U.S. medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
- Completion of ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency
- Arizona medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
Nice To Haves
- Experience in hospitalist or inpatient obstetrics
- Surgical and emergency OB proficiency
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Lead labor and delivery care for both low- and high-risk patients
- Perform cesarean deliveries, vaginal births, and OB/GYN emergency procedures
- Manage inpatient and ED OB/GYN consults
- Collaborate with nursing, anesthesia, and MFM teams
- Complete accurate, timely EMR documentation
