Inspects and evaluates properties and structures to ensure compliance with City of Beaumont codes and ordinances, particularly within the Oaks Historic District. Handles enforcing violations and represents the City in Municipal Court; interprets zoning, property maintenance codes, subdivision and landscaping regulations; reviews building site plans for conformance to zoning regulations and landscaping ordinances; inspects properties for compliance with specific use permits, zoning requirements, special district rules, and landscaping regulations; provides research for general infrastructure data and historical information; answers public inquiries through research of city maps and records; collects property land use information; compiles information from tax records and property ownership maps; makes field verifications of land uses; collects and prepares data for computer entry; photography equipment, computer equipment and calibration equipment.
