The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As an NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) Test Engineer , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. You will lead and perform noise, vibration, harshness, and thermal management testing projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline(completed and verified prior to start)
  • One (1) year of NVH or acoustics experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
  • Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.
  • All US-based 3M full time employees will need to sign an employee agreement as a condition of employment with 3M.
  • Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or higher in NVH from an accredited institution
  • Proficiency in NVH test methods and data acquisition systems
  • Demonstrated NVH system developing and testing experience for commercial vehicles
  • Ability to generate novel ideas and creatively apply to NVH testing and applications
  • Strong product development, planning, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication (e.g. written, verbal, presentation) and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Managing and performing testing to validate the solution for full vehicle and component
  • Analyzing test results and making recommendations for requirement verification of the product or solution
  • Developing, implementing, and standardizing advanced test methods and procedures
  • Working collaboratively with development engineers, application engineers, and account managers to support design and product optimization
