Requirements

  • Post High School Diploma or Certificate Program required
  • 1-3 years experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting nutritional assessments of individuals, including obtaining and evaluating individuals' dietary histories, to plan nutritional programs.
  • Assist in planning menus or diets or guide individuals or families in food selection, preparation, or menu planning, based upon nutritional needs and established guidelines.
  • Assist in researching food, nutrition, or food service systems. Analyze menus or recipes, standardize recipes, or test new products.
  • Assist in planning and referring of patients to other relevant services to provide continuity of care.
