About The Position

The Nutrition & Food Service Worker at Osceola Regional Health Center provides nutritious meals to hospital patients, Osceola Senior Living residents, staff, and guests, serving three meals per day. This role also involves performing various food service activities to meet cleanliness standards and regulations, and maintaining appropriate levels of orderliness and cleanliness within the department. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Follows HAACP guidelines and department policies and procedures during food distribution and storage.
  • Complies with physician ordered therapeutic diets during tray service and distribution of condiments.
  • Records temperatures of beverages, salads, and desserts during food production and service.
  • Keeps the kitchen work areas clean and sanitized during production and distribution of food.
  • Clears trays and washes dishes following appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Uses proper dish handling procedures for storing dishes and utensils.
  • Completes daily, weekly and monthly cleaning assignments.
