We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Diet Office Associate/Nutrition Technician to join our dietary services team. In this role, you will be responsible for visiting patients to obtain and discuss menu selections, ensuring all choices align with prescribed dietary guidelines, and entering daily meal preferences into our system. You will manage diet office processes, including editing patient menus, tallying menu item counts, and preparing production sheets, while also overseeing tray assembly and verifying menu compliance to maintain high food quality and presentation standards. This position requires the ability to deliver and serve meals, make independent judgments regarding special requests and nourishments, and interact professionally with patients, families, nursing staff, and dietary personnel. Working with minimal supervision, you may also assume lead responsibility for diet office operations in the absence of a supervisor, particularly during evening and weekend shifts. Prior experience as a nutrition technician or in a hospital room service setting is preferred. Schedule Varied: 24 hours/wk Primary Fri, Sat, Sun - 11:30 - 8p Banner Del E. POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for providing patients with menu and tray/patient meal service, for receiving and forwarding patient requests and communication to dietary staff when appropriate. Works to provide patient satisfaction with dietary and food services. This position is responsible for the diet office processes and may provide lead responsibility for diet office in absence of supervisor including making assignments for position coverage.
