About The Position

This is a part-time position located at Head Quarters in Chattanooga, TN. The Nutrition Aide will be responsible for various tasks related to food preparation, serving, and kitchen cleanliness, primarily focusing on breakfast and lunch services for children's services. The role involves maintaining food temperatures, restocking supplies, cleaning equipment and work areas, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Responsibilities

Unlock and record temperatures of milk coolers and freezers.
Prepare and set out breakfast for children's services, including filling buckets for steam tables, preparing milk and juice servings with ice, and placing food items.
Transfer food to appropriate pans and move to steam tables.
Wash pans as they are finished.
Restock breakfast items for the following morning.
Wipe down the front counter after breakfast.
Set out various food items and beverages for breakfast service.
Fill the three-compartment sink before lunch service.
Dispose of remaining food after lunch service and wash dishes.
Clean and refill the serving line with water.
Push pans to the back door for pickup.
Check and refill the milk cooler, ensuring older dated milk is used first.
Wipe down ice machines and trays.
Sweep and mop designated kitchen areas.
Take out the trash.
Record temperatures of coolers, freezers, and milk cooler.
Clean cafeteria mats when the area is empty.
Prepare bran mixture on Mondays.
Clean ice machine racks, trays, and surrounding areas on Tuesdays.
Wipe down coolers and hot boxes on Tuesdays.
Perform deep cleaning of the milk cooler on Fridays, including washing racks and sanitizing the interior.
Wash laundry and change mop heads as needed.
