About The Position

NorthWest Senior and Disability Services (NWSDS) is a local intergovernmental agency dedicated to supporting older adults and people with disabilities through programs that promote dignity, choice, and independence. NWSDS is seeking a part-time (20 hours per week) Nutrition Site Coordinator (Float) to support the nutrition program. This position is based out of the Dallas meal site and functions as a float, providing coverage at other meal sites as needed to ensure continuity of services. Days, hours, and work locations may vary based on program needs. We are seeking individuals who are committed to public service, value teamwork, and provide respectful, high-quality service to the communities we serve.

Requirements

  • High School or equivalency
  • 1 year of experience coordinating community programs and working with volunteers
  • 6 months food handling experience
  • Must possess a current Food Handler’s Permit or have the ability to obtain one prior to hire.
  • Positions that require driving must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • May require proof of personal automobile liability insurance in accordance with ORS Chapter 806 and use of a personal vehicle.
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal history check.
  • Basic computer proficiency and the ability to follow instructions, apply problem-solving, and make decisions consistent with policies and procedures
  • Effective communication and relationship building with a diverse range of individuals, including participants, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Strong customer service skills, professional boundaries, and sound judgment in a variety of situations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily operations of congregate meal sites and support home-delivered meal services.
  • Ensure food is handled, prepared, and served in compliance with health and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain accurate meal counts, participant records, and required program documentation.
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteers; ensure compliance with program and safety requirements.
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment for participants and promote social engagement.
  • Conduct outreach and collaborate with community partners to support program goals.
  • Deliver meals as needed and assist with participant assessments and communication.
  • Support program integrity by following all policies, confidentiality requirements, and mandatory reporting obligations.
