About The Position

The Nutrition Services Kitchen Supervisor at Golden Brook School for the 2026-2027 School Year will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, safety, inventory management, and staff supervision. This role requires strict adherence to sanitation codes and allergy awareness, as well as administrative tasks related to production records and financial deposits.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • 3 to 5 years of food service experience with demonstrated leadership or supervisory abilities.
  • Must complete ServSafe Certification within the first year of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of large-group nutrition, "serve safe" regulations, and state laws governing public kitchens.
  • Ability to interact positively with staff and students and maintain effective customer relations using good judgment and tact.
  • Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment at an efficient speed and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Cooking and preparing daily menu items while maintaining safe temperatures and quality.
  • Strict adherence to the NH Sanitation Code and student allergy awareness.
  • Overseeing the cleaning of all equipment and workstations.
  • Managing inventory, conducting monthly counts, and ensuring proper storage or disposal of food and supplies.
  • Supervising and training a team of five (5) direct reports, including scheduling, assisting, and evaluating School Nutrition Service Assistants.
  • Handling daily production records, weekly ordering, and verifying daily financial deposits.
