About The Position

As a Nutrition Services Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing food and non-food supplies for patient dining, Robin's Cove, and catering events. This role involves reviewing upcoming menus, forecasting inventory needs, and placing orders with multiple vendors using electronic ordering systems. You will maintain accurate inventory levels and purchasing records, ensuring compliance with purchasing contracts and department guidelines. Responsibilities also include receiving, inspecting, and properly storing deliveries, processing vendor invoices and returns, and adhering to food safety, infection prevention, and HACCP standards. The position requires close collaboration with culinary and nutrition services leadership to support daily operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 2 years of food service experience with knowledge of food products and packaging.
Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
Basic computer proficiency, including email and inventory/order entry software.
Ability to perform basic math and maintain accurate records.

Nice To Haves

Experience using automated purchasing and inventory systems.
ServSafe Certification.
