About The Position

As a Nutrition Services Buyer, you will purchase food and non-food supplies for patient dining, Robin's Cove, and catering events. This role involves reviewing upcoming menus, forecasting inventory needs, and placing orders with multiple vendors using electronic ordering systems. You will maintain accurate inventory levels and purchasing records, ensure compliance with purchasing contracts and department guidelines, and manage the receiving, inspection, and storage of deliveries. The position also includes processing vendor invoices and returns, adhering to food safety, infection prevention, and HACCP standards, and collaborating closely with culinary and nutrition services leadership to support daily operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of food service experience with knowledge of food products and packaging.
• Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including email and inventory/order entry software.
• Ability to perform basic math and maintain accurate records.
