About The Position
This PRN position in Nutrition Services focuses on patient interaction and meal delivery. The role involves greeting patients professionally, delivering meal trays, assisting patients with tray setup, and performing customer service duties. Responsibilities also include picking up trays, operating and loading the dishwasher, delivering clean dishes, and performing various cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal. Additionally, the role may involve assisting in food preparation like salads and desserts, assembling food trays, and maintaining the cleanliness of the tray line. Some duties may include taking patient meal orders, performing office-related tasks like entering meal data, and potentially delivering meals to other campus buildings using a company vehicle. The position is supervised by a team of managers and directors within the department.

Responsibilities
- Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Deliver meal trays directly to patient areas.
- Assist patients with meal tray setup.
- Perform customer service and service recovery skills.
- Pick up trays from patient areas at designated times.
- Tend and load the dishwasher.
- Deliver clean dishes and utensils to proper kitchen areas.
- Pre-wash certain items by hand, such as pots and pans.
- Sweep and mop floors, dispose of trash and garbage as needed.
- Perform cleaning duties included in job flow and those assigned by supervisor.
- Assist in preparing items such as salads, desserts, or nourishment.
- Assemble prepared food on trays for patients (regular and modified diets).
- Maintain the tray line in a clean, neat, and orderly manner.
- Call patients for meal orders and take orders from patients.
- Perform office-related duties such as entering patient meals, snacks, and supplements, and generating reports.
- Deliver meals to outer buildings on campus by driving a company vehicle.
