About The Position
The Nutrition Services Aide prepares and portions food, assembles and disassembles patient trays in a safe manner, serves customers, delivers, and retrieves patient trays. The schedule involves a two-week rotation. Week one includes Monday from 10:30 AM to 7 PM, Tuesday from 9 AM to 2 PM, Thursday from 6:30 AM to 3 PM, and Friday from 6:30 AM to 3 PM. Week two includes Monday from 6:30 AM to 3 PM, Saturday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, and Sunday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, using the English language.
- Basic math skills

Responsibilities
- Prepares and portions food appropriately for designated area
- Prepares and delivers patient nourishments and tube feeding per department standards.
- Plates and serves food
- Accurately place correct item on tray in proper location in accordance with department productivity standards.
- Handles and stores food in a safe manner following HACCP standard operating procedures.
- Wash and sanitize dishes and utensils.
- Serves customers in cafeterias, doctor’s dining rooms and other non-patient locations.
- Accurately operates cash register.
