About The Position

Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Nutrition Room Technician. This role is full-time working (40 hrs/week) working 8-hour shifts with a varied schedule including weekends as needed by the department. Requirements

High School diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

Previous clinical experience or previous nutrition experience, highly preferred

Responsibilities

Ordering, receiving, handling, storing, preparing and delivering human milk and formula, including mom’s expressed milk and donor milk.
Ensuring preparation techniques adhere to all sanitary regulations and standards, consistent with the 3d Edition of Infant and Pediatric Feedings: Guidelines for Preparation of Human Milk and Formula in Health Care Facilities.
Ensuring the environment meets facility and cleanliness standards.
Training and onboarding other technicians.
Participating in educational opportunities.
May perform additional duties as assigned.
