About The Position

Adagio Health is seeking a full-time Nutrition Health Educator to serve Mercer and Crawford County partners. This role focuses on implementing programs like the Teen Outreach Program (TOP) and the Healthy Relationships Toolkit (HeaRT), which are designed for middle and high school youth, focusing on social-emotional learning, community service, and healthy relationships. The position also involves additional programs related to public health and prevention as applicable. Adagio Health is a mission-driven organization with over 50 years of experience providing health, wellness, and nutrition services across Pennsylvania, serving approximately 115,000 patients and clients annually. They offer a welcoming, confidential setting and address broader health needs such as food insecurity and behavioral health.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in public health, education, or a related field.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to develop, provide and evaluate education programming.
Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable car.
Travel is required on a regular basis.
Proficient in Microsoft Series.
Ability to work afterschool/weekend programs.

Nice To Haves

Experience in youth education in a school setting and in public health is desirable.
Experience educating and instructing groups of various ages, promoting healthy lifestyles, or providing preventive health care services during military service.

Responsibilities

Initiates and delivers education in a variety of settings.
Ensures curricula is delivered as intended following program guidance and guidelines.
Delivers engaging, interactive, and concise lessons.
Builds relationships with program partners to enhance program delivery and effectiveness.
Maintains regular communication with program partners.
Initiates, leads, and provides technical assistance on supporting projects-based partner needs.
Completes all required documentation, data tracking, and data entry by determined deadlines.
Provides high quality customer service and participant recruitment in coordination with other Adagio Health initiatives as appropriate.
Collaborates with other educators to share ideas.
Works/travels in any offices as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
