About The Position

Adagio Health is seeking a full-time Nutrition Health Educator to serve Mercer and Crawford County partners. This role focuses on supporting public health and youth programming, specifically the Teen Outreach Program (TOP) and the Healthy Relationships Toolkit (HeaRT). The educator will deliver engaging lessons, build relationships with partners, complete documentation, and provide excellent customer service. The position is based in western Pennsylvania and requires regular travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in public health, education, or a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to: develop, provide and evaluate education programming.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable car.
  • Travel is required on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work well in a group.
  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead an engaging lesson.
  • Ability to represent the agency in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Strong public speaking skills.
  • Ability to work with the public, education professionals, teachers, principals, and the low-income population.
  • Ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet the program goals.
  • Willingness to participate in meetings and trainings in order to continually develop skills.
  • Ability to work afterschool/weekend programs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Series.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in youth education in a school setting and in public health is desirable.
  • Veterans from specific military occupational specialties (MOS) or similar backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience educating and instructing groups of various ages, promoting healthy lifestyles, or providing preventive health care services during military service.

Responsibilities

  • Initiates and delivers education in a variety of settings.
  • Ensures curricula is delivered as intended following program guidance and guidelines.
  • Delivers engaging, interactive, and concise lessons.
  • Builds relationships with program partners to enhance program delivery and effectiveness.
  • Maintains regular communication with program partners.
  • Initiates, leads, and provides technical assistance on supporting projects-based partner needs.
  • Completes all required documentation, data tracking, and data entry by determined deadlines.
  • Provides high quality customer service and participant recruitment in coordination with other Adagio Health initiatives as appropriate.
  • Collaborates with other educators to share ideas.
  • Works/travels in any offices as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
