About The Position

Part-time adjunct faculty position in the Department of Nutrition & Dietetics. Adjunct faculty are employed on a semester-by-semester basis, as needed, and are non-tenure-earning. The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at UNF is committed to transforming students into valued professionals through the pursuit and acquisition of knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors essential for lifelong learning. We offer a variety of programs at the undergraduate, Master’s and Doctoral level.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in nutrition, or a closely related field.
  • Previous teaching experience or relevant work experience in the field.
  • Registered dietitian credential

  • The selected candidate will be required to submit official transcripts (and, as applicable, U.S. degree equivalency evaluations) documenting the conferral of their qualifying academic credentials by the date of hire.

  • This position may also require a credit check.
  • The holder of this position is designated as a “Responsible Employee” pursuant to their role under Title IX. Nice To Haves

  • Doctor of Clinical Nutrition (DCN) or PhD in Nutrition or a closely related field.
  • Experience teaching online courses.
  • Experience as a preceptor for students in the field.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas: food service management, counseling, nutrition and metabolism.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses in Nutrition, ensuring alignment with curriculum objectives.
  • Hold regular office hours to provide academic support and guidance to students.
  • Maintain effective communication with students, addressing inquiries and providing timely feedback.
  • Adhere to department guidelines and procedures, fostering a collaborative and professional environment.
