Nutrition Coordinator
About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Nutrition Coordinator to join their Patient Food Service team at Baptist Jacksonville. This is a full-time position with 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends. The role focuses on patient safety and satisfaction by ensuring accurate meal delivery at the correct time and temperature. Responsibilities include assisting patients with menu selections, managing tray assembly and delivery, and collaborating with nursing and culinary teams to accommodate dietary needs and preferences. The position is located at Baptist Jacksonville, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system in Northeast Florida.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year Customer Service Experience Required

Responsibilities
- Assist patients in understanding their menu selections and ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements or restrictions.
- Obtain patient preferences and modify tray identifiers accordingly.
- Support and promote patient satisfaction.
- Participate with a multidisciplinary team to improve quality care/services to patients.
- Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with food allergies and sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences, or when a patient inquires about additional selections.
- Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection in a timely and accurate manner.
- Deliver and retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
- Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel in a timely manner, following department procedures.
- Perform other duties assigned.
