The Nutrition Coordinator / Registered Dietary Technician will assist the Registered Dietician in all nutrition and dietary functions, tasks, and projects to ensure proper nutrition is provided to our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain tray card information
  • Print and distribute menus
  • Manage and print tray cards
  • Visit residents to gather info on food preferences and assist residents with menu selections as needed
  • Communicate to the Registered Dietitian (RD), as indicated, regarding any changes in residents’ nutritional status, diet tolerance, intake, etc.
  • Update menus, spreadsheets and HACCP logs
  • Manage labels for snack items
  • Update resident profile cards/tray cards/menus according to current diet order and changes in food preferences
  • Update nourishment list
  • Participate in tray audits
  • Provide training as needed in service and policy
  • Create and monitor signage for dining rooms
  • Participate in meetings with staff as needed
  • Comply with and ensure departmental compliance to state and federal guidelines
