About The Position

The Nutrition Associate assists in all areas of Food Service operation. Primary duties include but are not limited to collecting patient meal selections; tray assembly; nourishment, enteral feeding and formula preparation; meal and nourishment delivery to patients; tray collection; diet changes; dishwashing; cleaning and customer service.

Requirements

• Minimum Grade 10 education
• Successful completion of the Dietary Food Service Worker Certificate Program (College program)
• Safe Food Handlers Certificate
• Previous hospital or long term care experience working in the dietary department
• Good physical condition
• Ability to stand for long periods, reaching, bending, pushing and lifting up to 20kg, using good body mechanics
• Ability to demonstrate attributes that contributes to a respectful caring environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with members of the health care team
• Ability to set and adjust priorities and organize work in response to department needs
