Nutrition Associate I - NBMC (Per Diem, Day)
About The Position
The Nutrition Associate I maintains state and federally mandated standards of safety and cleanliness while supporting food service operations at NorthBay Health. Duties include hot and cold food preparation; sanitation of kitchen facilities and equipment; tray-line meal assembly, delivery, and retrieval; stocking patient nourishment rooms, other patient care areas, and the physician lounge; retail and catering food preparation, setup, and service; cash register operation; receiving, inventorying, and stocking food and supplies; and ensuring accuracy for therapeutic diets and allergens in service delivery.
Requirements
- Current Safe Food Handler’s certificate required.
- One year of food service experience within the last three years, including hot and cold food production and customer service.
- Knowledge of sanitation, safety, and infection control procedures.
- Meet high customer service expectations and demonstrate the NorthBay Way with staff, patients, visitors, physicians, volunteers, and contractors.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduate preferred.
- Healthcare or institutional food service experience preferred.
