Nutrition Assistant, Harrington Hospital WIC Program, Milford Campus - 20 hours, Days
About The Position
This position provides nutrition services to low-risk child applicants and participants within the Harrington Hospital WIC Program at the Milford Campus. The role involves completing the CPA I Training Program to achieve CPA I status. Upon achieving this status, the Nutrition Assistant will provide nutrition care for low-risk children during certification and follow-up appointments. This includes anthropometric and hematological data collection, dietary and nutritional risk assessment, food package assignment, counseling and education, documentation and nutrition data entry, health and social service referrals, and follow-up nutrition education. The position also requires performing other duties as needed, including participating in quality assurance activities. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is required.
