About The Position

The Nutrition Assistant performs food preparation tasks as assigned, including tray production duties. The Nutrition Assistant also performs a variety of tasks, such as sweeping, scrubbing, cooler and maintenance, and helps to keep the storeroom clean and orderly. Responsibilities also include transporting food carts to the dining rooms, and daily cleaning of carts, equipment, and work areas.

Requirements

16+ years of age
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to handle various ingredients including but not limited to pork, chicken, beef, turkey, fruits and vegetables.
Self-motivated, works well independently and as a team player
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accurate work
Friendly, dependable, and enjoys working with the elderly

Responsibilities

Dishwashing – Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized.
Kitchen maintenance – Keep the kitchen area clean and organized.
Food preparation – Assist with daily food production and preparation.
Serving meals – Help serve food and assist residents with their dining needs; following food preparation, sanitation, safety, and infection control procedures.
