This position provides nutrition services to low-risk child applicants and participants within the Harrington Hospital WIC Program. Responsibilities include completing the CPA I Training Program to obtain CPA I status. After obtaining CPA I status, the role involves providing nutrition care for low-risk children at certification and follow-up, including anthropometric and hematological data collection, dietary and nutritional risk assessment, food package assignment, counseling and education, documentation and nutrition data entry, health and social service referrals, and follow-up nutrition education. The position also involves participating in quality assurance activities as needed.
