About The Position

The Nutrition Assistant is a collaborative member of the Nutrition Services team at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network in Tacoma, Washington. The role helps ensure that patients, families, and visitors receive positive nutritional health care experiences. The Nutrition Assistant works with nursing staff, doctors, clinical dietitians, dietetic technicians, and other department staff to support optimal nutrition care. The position performs routine functions such as meal processing, menu modifications, and tray accuracy, while providing customer service to a diverse population.

This is a per diem position with a variable shift and an FTE of .01. The listed pay scale is $22.09–$33.60 USD; actual compensation may depend on factors including skills, experience, certifications, and education. Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• At least one year of food service experience.
• Washington State Food Handler's Card.

Nice To Haves

• Two-year degree in Nutrition preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a direct patient care setting preferred.
• At least six months of experience in a customer service-oriented position preferred.
