About The Position

Works under the supervision of the Production Manager and in coordination with the Nutrition Aide/Production Team Leaders. The Nutrition Aide's primary job function is to perform a variety of tasks including assembly of meals, delivery of meals, cashiering, cleaning and sanitizing work areas, washing pots and pans, and pre-prepping food items for cooks. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Basic literacy skills
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations to accurately measure and dilute chemicals required

Responsibilities

  • Assigned to work any station in the assembly process.
  • Preps food items to be utilized by cooks involves slicing, chopping, dicing, and shredding.
  • Cleans equipment, dishes, utensils, pots and pans, trays and carts. Stores and delivers clean items to appropriate areas.
  • Washes pots and pans and other food production/service utensils by hand following approved sanitary techniques.
  • Bundles and disposes of trash; sanitizes and relines trash receptacles for reuse.
  • Sweeps and mops floor in dish room and other assigned areas.
  • Measures ingredients using instruments such as scale, measuring cups, etc.
  • Cleans and prepares fresh fruits and vegetables by washing, slicing, etc. using equipment such as slicer, mixer, knives, chopper, etc.
  • Interacts with visitors and coworkers with a cheerful helpful behavior.
  • Prepares daily work station according to proper procedure in a timely fashion.
  • Portions food in a safe and sanitary manner according to proper guidelines.
  • Answers phone using proper etiquette.
  • Completes all necessary documentation which includes, but is not limited to equipment temperatures, food temperatures, and cleaning charts.
