Nut Former
About The Position
This role involves performing the operation process for nut form production equipment. The Nut Former will utilize drawings, work orders, and blueprints to produce quality parts. Regular in-process inspections using precision measurement equipment are required, along with upholding site safety standards and standard operating procedures. The position also includes completing production logs and communicating urgent needs related to tooling and troubleshooting. Participation in regular department training and potentially conducting training with new employees may also be required.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience running nut form production machinery (nationals/jern yao)
- Proficient use of precision measurement tools (mics, calipers, gages, etc.)
- Ability to read blueprints and work orders
- Must be able to read/write in English
- Must have to ability to stand, lift, bend, kneel for duration of shift
- Must be able to work in non-temperature controlled environment
- Must have the ability to work with and around heavy metal materials
Responsibilities
- Performs operation process for nut form production equipment
- Utilizes drawings, work orders, and blueprints to produce quality parts
- Performs regular in process inspections, utilizing precision measurement equipment as needed (micrometers, calipers, gages, etc.)
- Upholds site safety standards and standard operating procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and equipment malfunctions
- Completes required production logs and other related documentation with accuracy
- Communicate urgent needs related to tooling and troubleshooting
- May be required to participate in regular department training and/or conduct training with new department employees
