The Nursing Program at Shoreline College is dedicated to student growth, academic success, and preparing individuals to become professional nurses who will employ compassion, utilize evidence, and demonstrate humility in pursuit of health equity and social justice to meet the healthcare needs of our diverse community. Our Program strives to be a model of inclusive excellence in teaching and learning utilizing a student-centered approach for a diverse student population. We believe nursing is a dynamic profession that requires specialized knowledge, critical thinking, and skills based on both biological and social sciences, and the humanities. We value diversity and believe student learning outcomes are best facilitated by utilizing evidence-based practices in teaching and learning in an inclusive, supportive, and student-centered environment. The ANA Code of Ethics, AACN Essentials, QSEN Competencies, and Washington State Nurse Practice Act inform our curriculum. The base salary indicated above has an additional 26% Nursing Educator Stipend pay adjustment to meet industry standards bringing the salary range to $87,676 -$99,745. This pay adjustment is based on continuous funding. This position is primarily medical-surgical focused and the individual in this position contributes to Shoreline College’s mission by supporting diverse students in achieving their educational goals.
