About The Position

Requirements

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Minimum age of 18 years
One year's experience as a nursing assistant or previous healthcare training
Nurse Aide Certification

Responsibilities

Assist with Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting.
Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration rate, blood pressure).
Assist with patient mobility, including transfers between beds, wheelchairs, and other areas, and assisting with walking and exercise.
Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and families.
Observe and report changes in patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions to the primary nurse/charge nurse.
Perform oral care, hair care, peri care, and catheter care.
Weigh patients and document weight.
Answer call lights courteously and promptly, ensuring call lights are within patient reach.
Maintain accurate patient records and document care activities.
Maintain a clean and safe environment, including changing bed linens and potentially cleaning rooms, and ensuring safety measures like bed alarms are in place.
Replenish medical supplies in patient rooms and other areas.
Assist nursing staff and/or providers with procedures as directed.
Safely transport patients throughout the hospital for treatments, tests, procedures, or activities using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds, and utilizing lift equipment.
